SAMSUNG'S Galaxy Note 7 is facing more issues as US Federal Aviation Administration bans it from flights.

Having gained rave reviews, Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 is now facing more bad news.

After reports that some Note 7 batteries were exploding, Samsung sensibly recalled all of the millions of devices that had been sold across the world.

Now the phablet has been banned from checked-in baggage by the US Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA said it "strongly advises" passengers to follow its guidance "in light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung about its Galaxy Note 7 devices."

In a statement the FAA said: "The Federal Aviation Administration strongly advises passengers not to turn on or charge these devices on board aircraft and not to stow them in any checked baggage."
Australian airlines Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia have already banned passengers from using or recharging the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 during flights over fire concerns.

Note 7 customers will still be able to bring the phones on flights on the Australian carriers, the ban extends to the phones being plugged into flight entertainment systems where USB ports are available.

The news comes days after a Galaxy Note 7 spontaneously exploded inside a hotel room in Australia, causing more than $1,800 AUD (£1,028 converted) worth of damage.

"My brand new Note 7 exploded this morning while I was still asleep, it was plugged in and charging," the owner of the explosive device wrote on social news website, Reddit.
Fortunately, the Redditor has been told he will not have to pay for any damages caused to the hotel.

"[Samsung] told me this is the first case in Australia,” the Australian adds.

"I have gone to Samsung store and they gave me a loan device J1, and have been promised that they will take care of the hotel damages bill."

Samsung has urged customers to return their devices, which have a known fault with the Lithium-ion battery.
