Can I meet you?
Thank you very much. I'm Precious Uhiene. I'm from Idah Local government in Kogi State, Nigeria. I'm studying Hospitality and Tourism management at University of Portharcourt. I'm a model. I was born on January 9. I love singing, dancing even though I'm not a good dancer,(smiles), traveling, meeting people, adventures. I hate pride, gossip, fighting and discrimination. I love neutral and bright colours. I'm more of a junky, not a foodie.
What's your background in modelling? How and when did you start?
I'm still a newbie kind-of in the modelling world because I wasn't taking it as serious as I am now. I started modelling in 2014. I participated in two different pageants then - Queen of Trust now known as the Nigerian Queen and Most Beautiful Girl in Kogi State. I stopped modelling for a while and then became a freelance model. I specialize in facials, pageantry, commercial, fashion, runway (I've a lot of turn downs from this one because of my height), picture, vixen, atmosphere.
I also train and manage models. I also do chaperoning for those that participate in pageants and also manage wardrobes too - Catwalk queen. Presently, I'm the Face of Culture (Kogi Miss Tourism 2016). I'm also a representative for Diamond modelling agency Port Harcourt centre and assistant trainer.
How do you feel as the Face of Culture (Kogi Miss Tourism 2016)?
(sighs) To be a beauty Queen comes with a lot of feeling tho but I feel really grateful.
Who or what motivated you to get to this stage in your career?
Motivation! My boss, Mr Harry Johnson Ariyo, my friend, Peace, my favorite twinne Zinab popularly known as Deevah and some other people too numerous to mention, Grace, Miss Exquisite Nigeria, Bettina Bae, and my models from Diamond modelling agency and so on.
What challenge(s) did you encounter when you started?
I had lot of challenges at the initial stage of my career. Some of them include pressure from my parents, church, financial challenges etc
Your parents weren't supportive? How did you cope with that?
When I went for my first pageant they supported me very well o. They were the ones that sold my tickets and even convinced everyone they know to vote. My mom bought me my gown sef but after that pageant they said I should stop. But you can't kill passion right? So I kept striving and kept pushing on. I never for once gave up.

Thank you so much. Modelling takes a lot of patience, dedication and perseverance. You have to really want it to make it work. In fact, if you have a passion for anything at all you have to work tirelessly to get what u want.
What brand would you love to model for?
I'd love to model for the telecommunications companies (MTN, GLO, Etisalat or Airtel), brewery companies (Coca-Cola, Gulder), fashion lines/clothing accessories/designers (names too many to mention but the renowned ones), shoe lines like Nike, Addidas, La girl etc. Also, for hairstyles and hair products too.
Let's talk about your style. How do you show your personality through your style?
If it's style as in fashion. I love it simple and elegant. A little mix of decent and sexy. There are styles that are sexy and not decent and there are ones that are decent and not sexy. So, I settle for the best. I love shoes. A friend of mine would always say, "good and nice shoes would take you to great places". I also love bags. In short, I just settle for the best. I don't ve a favorite designer yet. I love to create my own style. I love trying out different style or look. If I love a dress I create a combo and it usually turns out nice

Its d truth. If you've notice it. The first thing someone checks out is your shoes.
Do you have a special skincare routine?
Now this one is going to make you laugh a lot. Seriously I've never thought about skincare. I barely even use a cream but there's this routine my friend told me. She said, "use moisturizers during the day and use cream at night." If I get a nice cream and a special routine i'd start using. Please if you know any let me know o😂😁
(Smiles) How do you keep fit?
Keep fit😂. I do exercise once in a while. I drink a lot of water and I don't eat heavy food. I don't eat late night and I eat lot of fruits and vegetables.
What's your biggest challenge when it comes to staying on track to a healthy lifestyle?
Hmm, like I said earlier i'm more of a junky. It really affects me. I could go a whole day eating rubbish😂. Its a really big challenge.
"Models live a wayward life". What can you say about this popular notion?
And now I'd totally disagree with you on this one. Models don't live a wayward life. That's the one notion I'm seriously working on. Initially, before I started my parents used to think that too but thank God they don't anymore. Models are practically the most decent people. In the modelling industry there are the good, the bad and the ugly.
The thing there is that if a model knows what he or she wants,where he or she is coming from and what he or she wants to achieve in life. They'd strive and work hard to achieve and end well. Only desperate people live waywardly.
Can you pose nude in a photo shoot?
No. I can go topless tho and on bikini depending on the shoot and what its going to be used for but completely nude . . .No!
What's your favorite photograph from your career?
I loved my facial expressions. The background, my hair.
What biggest aspect do you think need change in the modelling industry?
The fact that most people scam, defraud and dupe models isn't cool. The fact that most clients,managers,organizations do favoritism isn't cool too. If a model deserves to be seen and heard they should give the model the chance.
Do you have a secret skill or passion?
Secret skill (smiles) eh i've passion for fashion designing. There was a time I was learning how to make clothes, I can make skirts. I actually stopped but i'd continue next year. I make hair too. I only braid myself tho. I'd keep working hard and become a top fashion designer in the world by God's grace.
What plans do you have for your pet project as the current Face of Culture (Kogi Miss Tourism 2016)?
Actually, I've got three in mind and the first one would be carried out in January by Gods grace.

What's fun and rewarding about modelling?
There are lot of fun and rewarding moments in modelling. The long stressful training, the photo shoots, the exposures, the fact that you get to meet people who share ideas with you, the fact that you get to make friends, the competitions and damn the feeling you get on a runway😁
Do people act different around you ever since you became a model?
Eh! sometimes when my church members see my pictures or even see me they look at me like a wayward child 😂. And most of the people I know like me and some pretend not to. Recently, one of my friends told me she looks up to me. It was funny tho but I felt blessed....the thing is that anything you're doing do it well and never look down on anyone because you don't know who looks up to you. We all need each other.
Do you have crush for anyone?
My crush is a celebrity o. He may never notice me tho. but id keep my crush alive. hes Falz tha Badt Guy. Simi and Jenifa you guys have to leave him for me. Hes mine lol
What's your relationship status?
I'm single. No love but I'm happy anyways. love is actually a trap . . . you fall in love and damn

I turned red, all red because of mosquitoes. It was an outdoor shoot. In a train station to be specific.
Any advice for aspiring models?
My advice to aspiring models is that they should never give up on their dreams. Never get discouraged no matter what and never be desperate. Do the best you can and don't stress it. Just enjoy what you do and never be proud because humility will take you to places. Be patient and dedicated. The sky will be your starting point. Don't let the love of money push you into doing things you'd regret. Do the best you can and leave the rest to God. He'd handle it and always say your prayers in everything you do.
